The Road Kill Episode - The Ant

Back in the day where the Palm OS 5 rules the portable tablet, I used to download some of the funny short films onto my Sony Clie device and watch those films stored on my Memory Stick during my break. As I look back on those days, Palm OS may be considered history in today’s smart devices but the short films that I had enjoyed can still live to this day. I’m just glad someone posted it onto the YouTube. Here are some of my featured videos on Road Kill Episodes, the Killer Bean, and the classic Pixar short film For The Birds, enjoy!

I can’t believe The B-52’s are still playing their music to this day. I remember my childhood days when they made a hit in the New Wave music. But today, their music may have been classified as a Nerdy music. Nevertheless, I had featured one of their popular songs in my homepage in remembrance of those fun days.

The B-52’s - Love Shack

I was impressed by these young music students when they played a cover of Tool’s 46 and 2. They even made it sound better than the original with their youthful girl vocalist. Cheers to O’Keefe Music Foundation.

Red Hot Chili Pepper’s drummer Chad Smith has always been thought to have looked like Will Ferrell the actor/comedian. The two were invited in Jimmy Fallon’s show for a drum-off and as a musician, I find this encounter so funny!

I can’t imagine how life would be on a ship on stormy seas. This video of a french warship going tough against the big waves made it look graceful. Just another day on a routine patrol for the sailors. Go for it Captain!

Here’s the recreation of Jimmy Fallon and Jack Black of Extreme's hit song of the 90's - More Than Words

Certainly these two comedians had it going - seriously…

As fall season is coming, I’m always reminded by one of my father’s favorite song where he played the piano parts so well - The Autumn Leaves.

Eva Cassidy’s acoustic guitar version plus her magnificent voice which she sang effortlessly has definitely raised the bar of how the song is suppose to be played. It is a soothing music for me in this busy life and I hope it does the same to you.

If you think ukulele is just a toy, think not. Professional musicians play this thing seriously but with fun.

Let’s watch one of the masters - James Hill - do the one man band using his ukulele in his version of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean.

Today, I am featuring a video of a rising Philippine girl rock star that has caught my ears. Her music style is similar to Eraserheads of the 90s but done in a much more cleaner way. The featured music below is rendered in Filipino language and the song pertains to her experience on riding in a jeepney.

Please welcome - Yeng Constantino!

I stumbled onto a documentary of a famous bass luthier in my lifetime. Randall Wyn Fullmer turned his back from a promising career in computer graphics at Disney and went on to pursue his passion of making basses. I find this to be a touching story of a man who never gives up as he struggles in life as a luthier. Today, his Wyn Bass is well known to most of the popular bassist in the industry including my favorite bass player Abraham Laboriel.

I happen to find a video featuring Liam Neeson auditioning for a Christmas Mall Ad. And you know well of him being popular with his Taken movie series.. And I think this one gives that same flavor.

It’s great to see two of Illinois’ legendary bands of the 80’s - REO Speedwagon and Chicago - playing together their top hits in big band Jazz-Rock fashion. REO’s rock ballad “Keep On Loving You” with horn section gives a different twist and Chicago’s “25 or 6 to 4” extended guitar duo is awesome to hear. I don’t see those things in today’s music anymore.

They may be old by now, but they are still rockin!

With the car industry shifting to electric cars, there are still those who are hesitant to go driving pure electric due to availability of charging stations and the charging time it requires and the longetivity of the batteries on extreme cold weather conditions. Thus, the hybrids still rules the consumers. And for me, the eye candy of sporty hybrids is the BMW i8.

And so, let’s check out how it’s being made.

Not too long ago I went to a CPR and AED training. And the instructor had showed us briefly this video of Vinnie Jones to give us some understanding of how to have a good timing when doing CPR. But this “bad boy” actor Vinnie just made me smile.

So, let’s pump it to the tune of “Stayin Alive!”.

Push it down hard for about 6 cm; that’s about 2 inches in “old money”.

Better to have broken ribs than to kick in a bucket!

I am always curious about the popular F-16 Falcon and the new F/A-50 Golden Eagle. And to see up-close on video gives delight on me.

Amazing fighter bomber planes!

Electric vehicles are starting to gain popularity especially to those who are into the clean and green energy movement and has the money to buy.

As for myself, I have test driven the Tesla’s Model X and Model Y just to compare the product quality and driving experience to the BMWs that I have owned. And for now, I will keep my opinions to myself.

But here’s a video that talks about the ownership experience of Tesla.

This one may give you a smile or not.. but for me, it is worth noting.

As a Mac user, AMD GPUs are the choice of graphics card for professional tools for Video production, CAD/CAE, and rendering tools. The AMD Radeon products has been the top contender at the workstation class for Scientific and Engineering computations and for crypto mining applications.

I am glad that AMD has turn their focus on the Gaming industry and go toe-to-toe with Nvidia. And here’s their latest line-up.

Yehey!
